The Australian tropical savanna is an area of dense grass and scattered trees that stretches across northern Australia from Broome to Townsville. There are actually 2 types of seasons in savanna's, a very long dry season (winter) and a very long wet season (summer).

Hello everyone, I am at the Great Barrier Reef. The water is so cool and clear here. You can see all the marine life around you, the wonderful colours of the coral is amazing. It's got 2500 different types of reefs! There is 1500 different species of fish and it also provides breeding areas for humback whales, sea turtles, dugongs and seabirds. You can see the damage the environment is having on the coral, as some of the coral has been bleached white from the ozones harmful rays. It makes you want to do more to save the environment and all these wonderful creations of God.

sahara desert

Hello everyone, at the moment I am in the sahara desert. I am in the western part of the sahara desert. As you can see it is very hot and dry here, with the temperature soaring around the 50 degrees +, and not much better when I am in the shade. Everywhere I look is sand, sand and more sand. Hardly any vegetation can survive in this harsh environment. My mouth always feels dry and parched and I cannot go longer than a few minutes without water. I have to get out of here to a cooler environment.
